Applications Now Open: World Scout Moot 2022

Author: Richard Harvey

Published: September 2, 2020

Applications to join the UK Contingent for the 16th World Scout Moot have reopened for a limited time following the event dates changing (see below).

For anyone who didn't manage to submit an application first time round, can now attend due to the new dates in 2022 or have had a change in circumstance, UK Scouts are delighted to be able to provide an opportunity to submit an application as either a Participant or IST member.

The second round of applications will then be entered along with the first round into the ballot which will be drawn using our Scouting Criteria. Places will be confirmed no later than the end of October 2020.

Submitting an application is super easy! There's three simple steps to let us know you'd like to come to Ireland in July 2022. They are:

  1. Completing a contingent application form
  2. Filling out an anonymous equal opportunities monitoring form
  3. Visiting the grants section of our website and considering completing an application for our Inclusion Fund.

All the information on submitting an application and more is available on our How to apply page. Applications close at midnight on Sunday 20th September, so don't leave it too late!

A reminder that if you've already applied - you don't need to do anything! Please don't submit a second application, but check your emails for the latest update around your next steps.

The organisers have now confirmed to us that the World Scout Moot will take place from Monday 18th to Friday 29th July 2022. We’ve broken this down below to show you all of the dates for our UK Contingent experience:

Participants:

  • Pre-event experience (optional) – Saturday 16th to Monday 18th July
  • The Moot - Monday 18th to Friday 29th July
  • Post-event experience (optional) - Friday 29th to Saturday 30th July
