Who can vote?

All members can attend the AGM but only Scout Council Members can cast a vote.

These roles are

• Ex Officio Members
• County President
• County Vice President
• Regional Commissioner
• County Chair
• County Commissioner
• County Secretary
• County Treasurer
• County Youth Commissioner
• Deputy County Commissioners
• County Scout Active Support Manager(s)
• County Training Manager(s)
• Assistant County Commissioners
• County Scouters
• County Skill Instructors
• County Advisors
• County Administrators
• Local Training Manager
• District Commissioners
• District Youth Commissioners
• District Chair
• District Secretaries
• District Treasurers
• District Active Support Managers
• A representative of the County Troop Leadership Forum selected from amongst the membership of the forum
• A representative of the County Explorer Forum selected from amongst the membership of the forum
• A representative of the Scout Network selected from amongst the membership of the District Scout Networks in the County.

Nominated Members

The number of persons to be nominated annually by the Lincolnshire County Scout Council from each of the following categories is decided by the Council

• Persons recommended by the County Commissioner in consultation with the County Chair – 4 to 6
• County Active Support members nominated by the County Scout Active Support Unit - 1
• Scouters nominated by the District Scout Councils -1 per district
• Explorer Scout Members nominated by District Explorer Scout Meetings – 1 per district
• District Scout Network members nominated by the District Scout Network – 1 per district

Co-opted Members

Lincolnshire County Scout Council may co-opt members annually.

• Such co-opted members may include representatives of organisations with whom it is desired to maintain co-operation e.g. Girlguiding UK, Lincolnshire North and South; religious bodies; other youth organisations and Local Education Authorities.
• Members are nominated by the County Commissioner.
• The number of members co-opted must not exceed the total of Ex-Offico and Nominated members

How to vote

Questions will be posed verbally during the meeting and members invited to vote by 'raising their hand' digitally within Teams.

To raise your hand -

• Hover your mouse over the Teams window and a menu bar will appear towards the bottom middle of that screen
• Click on the three dots and a small menu will appear
• Click on the text that says 'Raise your hand'
• A small hand icon will appear on your screen and will be visible to the chair and secretary to allow voting capture
• When prompted, please repeat the process to 'lower your hand' and the icon will disappear
