“Chill Out” is an exciting extension of our popular single-day Chiller event, designed to make the most of the English summer. Lincolnshire Scouts have secured all the regular Walesby activities and are adding the opportunity to enjoy water-based activities on the same day!
The event will take place over the weekend, with the core activity day on Saturday 5th July, running from 9am to 5pm due to extended daylight hours. On Sunday 6th July, we’ll continue the fun with inter-group challenges and Olympic-style activities, wrapping up at 1pm.
In the evenings on Friday and Saturday, there will be a range of fun activities, including a cinema area, silent disco, campfire, and evening crafts for those seeking a quieter experience.
Following the success of our 24-hour Explorer event in November 2023, we’ll be hosting a 24-hour Chill Out for Explorers or Rangers, running from 10pm Friday evening to 10pm Saturday evening. Explorers and Rangers will enjoy bespoke activities throughout the night, along with all the regular activities on Saturday. By Sunday, they should be well-rested and ready to join in group competitions before heading home.
This event is open to all Scout or Guide sections, with different options for participation:
Please note that the 24-hour Chill Out is exclusive to Explorer Scouts or Ranger Guides, who must have a leader camping on-site.
As with previous Chiller events, we are offering an early booking discount for those who commit and pay before April 20th. Prices are listed below (in brackets for early booking):
Saturday day visit
No camping (YP) £28 (£26) (L)£2.50
Saturday morning to Sunday lunchtime (1 night camp) (YP) £45 (£43) (L) £7

We’ll be using the Evboo system, the same system used by Poacher in 2022, for administration. This will allow online payments and streamline the process of sending out health and permission forms to a responsible adult for each person registered.
Please make sure to input the correct number of attendees from each section when making your booking. This will help us ensure we have age-appropriate activities for everyone.
