Last weekend, on Sunday 6th of October 2nd Grantham Scouts had an opportunity to take part in the launch of a new Space badge for Scouts at the National Space Centre in Leicester alongside 500 Scouts from all over the UK.
"The day began with an inspiring talk from Meganne Christian, a UK Space Agency Astronaut Reserve, and was packed with activities that gave us a glimpse into the physical and mental skills astronauts need to live and work in space. The planetarium show blew us away, and we learned the explosive science behind rockets and participated in hands-on workshops while exploring the Centre's galleries.
Though we were tired by the end, we were thrilled to have been part of this amazing experience!"
