The National Autistic Society has some great resources to help support adult volunteers, who in turn may be supporting autistic young people within their group.
As a starting point, there is a free e-learning module available up to the end of February 2025 located here: Click here for more information. You just need to crease an account on the eLearning site and then can access the module for free.
In addition, the National Autistic Society have a set of free resources aimed at Scout and Explorer Scout Age range aiming to support autistic teenagers to understand what being autistic means to them. This is a series which will be updated over the coming years, however the first four topics focusing on ‘understanding yourself’, ‘energy accounting’, ‘exploring your identity’ & ‘setting yourself up for success’ are available now at www.autism.org.uk/KnowYourself
We are exploring further support on this topic and will let you know more when we know.
